Dublin Core Metadata Inititiative - DCMI site overhaul.
We have just published a new version of the DCMI Web site. Please
note the following:
1. The Usage Board has simplified the documentation of metadata
terms. All of the terms maintained by DCMI are now described
in just one document:
http://dublincore.org/documents/dcmi-terms/
For legacy reasons and by popular demand, two important subsets
of these terms -- the Dublin Core Element Set and the DCMI Type
Vocabulary -- are redundantly described in stand-alone documents:
http://dublincore.org/documents/dces/
http://dublincore.org/documents/dcmi-type-vocabulary/
For pointers to other related Web pages, see the "Overview of
documentation for DCMI Metadata Terms" at
http://dublincore.org/usage/documents/overview/.
2. The Proposed Recommendation "Guidelines for implementing Dublin
Core in XML" is now available for Public Comment until March 31,
2003. Comments should be sent to DC-General.
