Docbook HTML Stylesheets on Dave Pawson's site - I really must explore more...
Processing XML with Java Elliotte Rusty Bucket's latest, full text on line (bravo!), the bits I've skimmed look really good. Quite a lot on JDom, which makes a nice change.

Marvellous! - LA Weekly: Columns: Quark Soup: Farting Robots and Shitting Ducks - article on "gastrobotics"!!
"...Wilkinson is the creator of Chew Chew, a meterlong robot resembling a small train that he tells me is essentially 'a stomach on wheels.' Instead of plugging into an electric socket, Chew Chew gets its energy by eating sugar cubes. ".
And Chew Chew farts.

Another pile of stuff I first posted to the wrong blog :
Aggregating Aggregating Recommendations using RDF - Libby Miller
With triple stores in mind : NonRelational Database Systems
The RDF Schema Specific DataBase (RSSDB) from The ICS-FORTH RDFSuite. "The experimental results we have carried out (using as testbed the Open Directory RDF dump comprising about 6 million of triples), illustrate that our approach yields considerable performance gains in query processing and storage volumes as compared to other triple-based RDF Stores. In addition, the size of the database scales linearly with the number of loaded triples." GPL-like license.
A Brief Summary of my recent Blog/Aggregator Experience :: Kairos
Only very tenuously linked to the Semantic Web (mad scientist connection?), but great fun :

Novamente "
An Artificial General Intelligence in the Making" - I really must collate my links to these things, that must be a dozen or so projects aiming for human-like intelligence (well, usually they modestly go for superhuman intelligence, but I don't think it's worth quibbling) .

Imagination Engines, Inc - neural net stuff. I was in touch with this chap a few years back, but had forgotten about the site.
ISIS Interstises!!! Caroline's great (software) idea of three or four years back related to this. From tape loops to samplers - maybe its time has come!?
